1. Order Processing & Dispatch

 

• Processing Time: We aim to process and dispatch all orders within 24–48 hours of order confirmation. Our goal is to ensure the shortest possible transit time for your fresh delicacies.

 

2. All-India Delivery & Estimated Transit Time

 

• Delivery Areas: We are delighted to deliver our traditional treats across all serviceable pin codes in India.

• Freshness Guaranteed: We meticulously pack each order using special packaging materials to maintain the optimal freshness and integrity of traditional delicacies like Joynagar Moa and Nolen Gur during transit.

• Estimated Delivery: Delivery times are calculated based on your location from our dispatch center:

  • Metro Cities & Regional Hubs: Typically 3–4 business days after dispatch.

  • All Other Locations: Typically 4–5 business days after dispatch.

 

3. Shipping Charges

 

• Shipping Calculated at Checkout (Pincode Based): Shipping charges will be calculated dynamically at checkout based on your pin code and the weight/volume of your order. This ensures you pay the most accurate shipping cost for your location across India.

 

4. Delivery Tracking

Your satisfaction with the authentic Bengali treats from bengaltreats.in is our top priority. Due to the perishable nature of many of our products (such as Nolen Gur and fresh sweets like Joynagar Moa), our policy is detailed below.

 

1. Eligibility for Refund & Returns

 

• Damaged or Incorrect Items: We accept returns or offer refunds/exchanges only if the item received is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of the damage.

• Non-Perishable Items: Any non-perishable product (e.g., packaged goods with a long shelf life) may be eligible for a return within 7 days of delivery, provided it is unused and in its original packaging.

• Shipping Delays: While we strive for timely delivery, we do not offer refunds for minor shipping delays once the product has been dispatched, as this is controlled by the courier service.

 

2. Non-Returnable Items (Perishable Goods)

 

Due to food safety and hygiene regulations, and the perishable nature of our sweets and jaggery:

• Opened or Consumed Goods: We cannot accept returns on any food item that has been opened or partially consumed.

• Change of Mind: We do not accept returns or offer refunds if you simply change your mind after the product has been shipped.

• Improper Storage: Refunds will not be granted for products that spoiled or melted due to failure to follow recommended storage instructions (e.g., not refrigerating Nolen Gur upon receipt).

 

3. The Refund Process

 

• Initiate Contact: Email us at your specified customer service address (bengaltreats@gmail.com) within 48 hours of receiving your order, including:

  • Your Order Number.

  • A description of the issue.

  • Mandatory: Clear photographs/videos showing the damage or defect.

• Review: Our team will inspect the evidence and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund within 3 business days.

• Issuance: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place. The Moa must be kept in an air-tight container immediately upon opening the original sealed packaging to maintain its texture and prevent hardening.

Shelf Life (from date of dispatch): 5-7 days at room temperature. Up to 15 days if refrigerated.

If refrigerated, allow the Moa to come back to room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. This restores the intended soft, crumbly texture.
